Portals
Create branded external workspaces for clients, customers, partners, vendors, members, and other stakeholders.
Portals is a sellable Workestra module for giving external stakeholders one secure place to follow work, make decisions, find commercial documents, request support, and open shared resources.
Unlike standalone portal software, it does not need a synchronized customer, project, quotation, invoice, or permission database. A composed portal is the controlled external view of Workestra CRM, Projects, Sales, Finance, Contracts, Subscriptions, Support, Knowledge Base, and Calendar. Each record stays in its owning module and the portal resolves its current state.
What you can do
- Create separate portals for different stakeholders or engagements.
- Choose from seven reusable starters or a blank portal.
- Open a realistic, fictional example of every starter before creating a portal.
- Share the public portal example gallery with colleagues or prospective stakeholders; no Workestra account is required.
- Add, remove, rename, reorder, hide, and target sections by portal role.
- Select exact canonical records or safe live party rules in Content & data.
- Preview every existing portal directly from the overview as viewer, contributor, approver, billing, or admin.
- Invite viewers, contributors, approvers, billing contacts, and portal admins.
- Publish or pause a portal without deleting its configuration.
- Request approval with a due date, blocking status, and expected schedule impact.
- Share selected updates while keeping internal activity private.
- Link Google Drive, OneDrive, SharePoint, Dropbox, Figma, or another HTTPS resource without copying its files into Workestra.
- Apply a portal-specific brand name, welcome message, HTTPS logo, primary color, and powered-by preference.
- Publish one portal at a verified subdomain such as
portal.yourcompany.com, with clean module paths and branded invitations.

Industry-neutral by design
The default template works well for agencies and professional-services teams, but Portals does not assume an agency data model. Audience labels include client, customer, partner, vendor, member, student, parent, citizen, patient, tenant, and other.
Current release
The composed portal uses invitation-based access on both Workestra-hosted and custom-domain URLs. A custom domain changes the branded address, not the access policy: every visitor still needs a valid invitation, session, portal membership, role, and record-level permission. Anonymous share-link access is not active.
The external AI assistant is also disabled until its portal-session authorization contract is complete.
