Create and publish a portal

Create a composed stakeholder portal, configure its identity, and publish it.

Before you start

An administrator must enable the Portals sellable module for the workspace. The source modules you want to expose, such as Projects, Sales, Finance, or Support, must also be available in the workspace.

Create a portal

  1. Open Portals under Delivery & Operations.
  2. Select New portal.
  3. Choose a template from the visual gallery.
  4. Enter an internal portal name.
  5. Confirm the URL slug.
  6. Choose the audience language.
  7. Add an optional internal description.
  8. Select Create private draft.

The gallery includes Client delivery, Customer self-service, Vendor collaboration, Member hub, Case or project workspace, Onboarding hub, and a blank portal.

Configure the experience

Open the portal and review:

  • Composition — add, remove, rename, reorder, target, or hide sections.
  • Content & data — choose exact source records or safe live party rules.
  • Members — invite the external people who may enter.
  • Approvals — request decisions linked to source records.
  • Resources — add external provider links.
  • Settings — set the display name, welcome message, logo, primary color, and powered-by preference.

Use Secure preview to check the draft as every portal role before publishing. Preview does not create an external member session.

Publish

Select Publish when the readiness panel has no blockers. A published portal is available at /portal/p/[portal-slug] to invited members with a valid portal session.

Select Pause to make the composed portal unavailable without deleting its members, sections, approvals, or settings.

The public portal uses exact membership and data policy. An internal Workestra login does not bypass portal membership. Use Secure preview for draft review.
