Profile Settings

Update your personal information, upload an avatar, set your timezone, and customize your theme preferences.

Profile Settings

Your profile settings control how you appear to team members and how Workestra is personalized for you.

Accessing Profile Settings

  1. Click Settings in the sidebar
  2. Select Profile from the settings menu
  3. Or click your avatar → Profile

Profile Picture

Your avatar appears throughout the workspace — in comments, assignments, and team directories.

Uploading an Avatar

  1. In the Profile Picture section, click Upload Photo
  2. Select an image from your computer
  3. The upload happens automatically

Removing Your Avatar

  1. Click the × button next to your current avatar
  2. Your initials will be displayed instead

If you don't upload an avatar, Workestra displays your initials on a colored background. The colors are automatically generated based on your name.

Personal Information

Full Name

Your display name appears throughout the workspace:

  • In comments and activity feeds
  • On assigned records
  • In the team directory
  • In email notifications

To update:

  1. Enter your full name in the Full name field
  2. Click Save Changes

Job Title

Your job title helps team members understand your role:

  • Visible on your profile
  • Shown in hover cards
  • Used in team directory filtering

Examples: "Product Manager", "Sales Lead", "Senior Developer"

Email Address

Your login email is displayed alongside a Change button. See Changing Your Email Address for the full guide.

To change your email:

  1. Click the Change button next to your email
  2. Enter your new email address
  3. Click Send Confirmation
  4. Open the confirmation link sent to your new email
  5. You're automatically redirected back with the updated email

Your current email stays active until you click the confirmation link. All workspace data, permissions, and passwords remain unchanged.

Appearance

Theme Selection

Choose between Light and Dark themes:

To change your theme:

  1. In the Appearance section, click Light or Dark
  2. The change applies immediately
  3. Your preference is saved automatically

You can also toggle themes quickly from the user menu (avatar → theme toggle) without visiting settings.

Font Size

Adjust text size for better readability:

  • Small — Compact view, more content on screen
  • Default — Balanced readability
  • Large — Easier reading, accessibility friendly

Changes apply immediately across the entire interface.

Workspace Information

Your Role

Your current workspace role is displayed (read-only):

Join Date

Shows when you joined the current workspace. This is for your reference only.

Saving Changes

Most profile changes are saved when you click the Save Changes button in the header:

  1. Make your edits
  2. Click Save Changes
  3. A success message confirms the update

Theme and font size changes are saved immediately and don't require clicking Save Changes.

Profile Visibility

Your profile information is visible to:

  • All workspace members (name, avatar, job title)
  • Workspace admins (email, role, join date)

Your information is never shared outside your workspace or used for marketing.
