Dashboard
The Dashboard is your workspace's home screen — the first thing you see when you log in. It provides a personalized overview of your business with real-time activity, AI-powered insights, and quick navigation to every module.

Dashboard Layout
Your dashboard is organized into sections that adapt based on your enabled modules and user role.
Welcome Section
At the top of the dashboard, you'll see a personalized greeting:
- Good morning — Before 12 PM
- Good afternoon — 12 PM to 6 PM
- Good evening — After 6 PM
The welcome message helps orient you and sets the context for your work session.
Setup Checklist
If you're new to Workestra or have incomplete setup tasks, you'll see a Setup Checklist widget:

The checklist tracks your onboarding progress. Completed tasks are checked off automatically. Click any task to jump to the relevant page.
AI Insights Widget
The AI Insights widget displays proactive suggestions based on pattern analysis across your workspace data. This is one of Workestra's most powerful features.
Types of Insights
The AI engine continuously monitors for 9 pattern types:

| Pipeline Bottleneck | Deals stuck in specific stages | "5 deals have been in 'Proposal' for over 30 days" |
| Recruiting Funnel | Candidate drop-off points | "50% of candidates drop off at the interview stage" |
| Overdue Tasks | Tasks past their due date | "You have 7 overdue tasks assigned to you" |
| SLA Breach | Support tickets missing SLA targets | "2 urgent tickets are approaching SLA breach" |
| Deal Stagnation | Opportunities with no recent activity | "3 high-value deals have no activity in 14 days" |
| Cross-Module Correlation | Connections between modules | "Closed deals correlate with reduced support tickets" |
Interacting with Insights
Each insight card shows:
- Title — Brief description of the pattern
- Severity — Color-coded: Info (blue), Warning (yellow), Critical (red)
- Details — Context about the data
- Suggested Actions — Quick buttons to take action

| Dismiss | Remove the insight from your feed |
| View Details | Navigate to the relevant report or list |
| Act | Take a suggested action (varies by insight type) |
Dismissed insights can be viewed again on the full Insights page (/insights). The AI learns from your dismissals to improve relevance over time.
AI Highlight Banner
Occasionally, you'll see a prominent banner highlighting major AI features:
- New AI capabilities (e.g., "Enable AI Agents for recruiting")
- Significant insights requiring attention
- Tips for getting more from Workestra
You can dismiss banners or click Enable/Act to explore the feature.

Module Cards
The Your Modules section displays cards for your enabled modules, each showing a quick stat and description:

Click any module card to jump to that module's main page.
Stats are calculated in real-time based on your role and permissions. A Viewer might see different numbers than an Admin.
Quick Start Section
The Quick Start section provides one-click actions to common tasks:

These actions are contextual — they disappear once you've completed them, and new ones appear based on your usage patterns.
The "+" Quick Actions menu
The + button in the dashboard header opens a customizable command-menu of create flows — new contact, new deal, new invoice, new task, and so on. The list is composed of three layers:
- Built-in defaults (always shown) — Contact, Deal, Company, Project, Task, Invoice, Ticket.
- + Workspace additions (admin-pinned for everyone in the workspace).
- + Your additions (personal pins, only visible to you).
Workspace admins can add shortcuts the whole team should see; any member can pin extras for themselves. Open the menu with ⌘+Shift+N (macOS) or Ctrl+Shift+N (Windows), then click Customize in the top-right of the menu to manage the list.

The Explore the Platform section links to resources:

Customization
While the dashboard layout is standardized for consistency, you can influence what appears:
Module Visibility
- Enable/disable modules in Settings > Modules
- Only enabled modules appear in the Module Cards section
Insight Preferences
- Configure AI features in Settings > AI Configuration
- Toggle specific insight types on or off
Personal Settings
- Set your timezone in Settings > Profile for accurate timestamps
- Choose light/dark theme from the user menu
Real-Time Updates
The dashboard updates in real-time:
- Stats refresh automatically as data changes
- New insights appear as the AI detects patterns
- Notification badges update instantly
No need to refresh the page — just keep the dashboard open in a tab.
Mobile Dashboard
On mobile devices, the dashboard adapts to a single-column layout:
- Swipe to navigate between sections
- Tap module cards to expand
- Quick actions accessible from the bottom bar
