Sending Emails
Compose and send emails from CRM, Support, and Recruiting with CC/BCC, signatures, and tracking.
Sending Emails
Send emails directly from Workestra without switching to your email client. The compose dialog is available across CRM, Support, and Recruiting modules.
Opening the Compose Dialog
You can send emails from several places:
- Contact detail page — Click the email icon or Send Email button
- Deal detail page — Click Send Email in the activity section
- Ticket detail page — Reply via email
- Recruiting — Send outreach from candidate profiles
The From Selector
The From dropdown at the top of the compose dialog lets you choose your sending identity:
| Option | How It Sends |
|---|---|
| Your Gmail/Outlook | Via your connected account's API (appears from your personal address) |
| Workspace Email | Via Resend using your workspace's configured sender identity |
Your selection is remembered across sessions. If you typically send from your connected Gmail, you won't need to re-select it each time.
CC and BCC
Click the CC/BCC toggle to reveal additional recipient fields:
- CC — Recipients visible to all parties
- BCC — Hidden recipients (useful for logging or compliance)
Enter multiple addresses separated by commas. Invalid addresses are flagged before sending.
Email Signatures
The compose dialog includes a Signature selector that lets you append a signature to your email:
- Click the signature dropdown below the message body
- Select from your saved signatures
- The signature preview appears at the bottom of the compose area
If you have a default signature set, it is automatically applied when the dialog opens.
To manage your signatures, go to Settings → Email Signatures or see Email Signatures.
Email Tracking
Toggle Track opens to receive a notification when the recipient opens your email. When enabled:
- A tracking pixel is embedded in the HTML email
- Open events are logged to the contact's activity timeline
- You can view open status in the email history
Email tracking relies on image loading. Recipients who block remote images won't trigger open notifications.
Composing Tips
- Rich text — The editor supports basic formatting (bold, italic, links, lists)
- Subject line — Auto-filled with context when replying from a ticket or deal
- Recipient auto-complete — Start typing a name or email to search your contacts
Where Sent Emails Appear
After sending, the email is logged to:
- The contact's activity timeline in CRM
- The deal's activity feed if sent from a deal page
- The ticket's conversation thread if sent from Support
- The email history visible on detail pages across modules
