Gmail Add-on
Click-to-book Workestra meetings from inside Gmail compose windows.
The Workestra Gmail Add-on adds a sidebar panel to Gmail compose windows. Users pick a booking link, offered slots, or a team page, and the add-on inserts a Workestra snippet into the message body.

What it does
- Insert booking link - drop a Workestra booking link into the email body
- Insert offered slots - insert a small set of proposed times for the recipient to choose from
- Insert team page link - drop a team page URL
- Open Workestra calendar - open
/calendar
Installation
For enterprise launch, deploy the add-on through a customer-managed Google Workspace or Apps Script deployment:
- Create or open the Apps Script project for the Workestra Gmail add-on.
- Copy the source from
apps/gmail-addon/. - Configure the script properties required by your Workestra environment.
- Deploy a test deployment for validation or an internal Workspace deployment for assigned users.
- Install the add-on for the pilot or organization from the Apps Script or Google Admin deployment flow.
The package source lives in apps/gmail-addon/ of the Workestra monorepo. The package README documents the clasp-based deployment workflow.
Authentication
The Gmail add-on signs users into their Workestra account and uses the same account permissions as the web app.
Not supported
- Native desktop mail clients that do not run Gmail add-ons
- A public Google Workspace Marketplace listing before marketplace approval
- Calendar-level read/write from the Gmail add-on; use Google Calendar for calendar sync
