Gmail Add-on
Click-to-book Workestra meetings from inside Gmail on the web and mobile.
The Workestra Gmail Add-on adds a sidebar panel to Gmail compose windows. Pick which booking link to insert, and a Workestra-styled snippet (link, offered slots, or team page) drops into the email body.
The Gmail equivalent of the Outlook add-in — same patterns, different platform.
Screenshot needed — Gmail compose window with Workestra panel open on the right
What it does
- Insert booking link — drop a Workestra link
- Insert offered slots — pick 3–5 specific slots, formatted as a clickable HTML block, that the recipient picks from
- Insert team page link — drop a team page URL
- Open Workestra calendar — link to
/calendar
Installation
The add-on is published to the Google Workspace Marketplace as "Workestra Scheduling" (when listed). Install:
- Open the Marketplace listing
- Click Install → grant the requested scopes (Gmail compose, contacts read for autofill)
- The Workestra panel appears in the Gmail right sidebar
For IT-managed Workspace deployments, admin install via the Google Admin console → Apps → Marketplace apps → Add app.
Authentication
Same as the Outlook add-in: signs into the same Workestra session as the web app.
Source
Source lives in apps/gmail-addon/ of the Workestra monorepo. It's a standard Apps Script + Card Service add-on.
What's NOT supported
- Gmail desktop apps (mac/Windows/iOS native Mail) — those don't support Gmail add-ons; use the web Gmail interface instead
- Outlook for Mac with Gmail account — that goes through the Outlook add-in instead
- Calendar-level read/write from the Gmail add-on — that's the Google Calendar integration
